Devils Tower was one of the first stops on my trip. I took the detour off of I-90 with my fingers crossed that it was even open. I lucked out.
Right off of the parking lot is a visitors center and toilets. While the visitors center was closed, they still had a stand for stamping your National Parks Passport.
A few cars were in the parking lot when I arrived. This was technically my first solo hike, so I pulled my pack, trekking poles, water & a snack. I quickly discovered that this short trail was on a paved path around the Tower. I was happy to go through the motions and test my process, so the effort was not wasted.

The park has several trails outlined on its website. Please note that no pets are allowed on the trails in this park. I also witnessed some climbers making their way up Devils Tower. A pretty incredible sight to see.
