When you are preparing for your trip, make sure you have a packing list for your pup. Below is a list I use…and will continue to update it as my adventures evolve.
Car essentials
- Leash (consider short one for walking and long leash to allow your dog some freedom to run)
- Water & water bowl or bottle
- Snacks or food
- Bed
- Toys or chew
- Poop bags
Hotel essentials
- Water and food bowl
- Food
- Leash (long leash & short leash)
- Bed
- Toys
- Chew or distraction
Campground Essentials
- Water and food bowl
- Long leash & short leash
- Bed (consider temperature and make sure you have blankets if it’s cold)
- Towel (you are going to want to clean off your pup)
- Portable shower system (great to clean off your dog in addition to dishes, gear, etc)
- Poop bags
Day Trip Essentials
- Water and water bowl or bottle
- Long leash & short leash
- Poop bags
- Treats or snacks
